Guiding Question:
- My sustained investigation will focus on physical isolation and how it can teach us more about ourselves, both positively and negatively. My inspiration for this came from looking at work from Henri Prestes and Todd Hido. I like the eerie vibe and feeling of uncertainty that these pieces of work give me. They kind of give me this idea that we aren’t ever really complacent, further undervaluing ourselves and the way we go about living our lives. I think this is something I would love to explore and hopefully translate into my photography. I know this kinda sounds all over the place but this is what I am thinking so far for my sustained investigation.

How does the texture presented in the photo further emphasize the look of isolation?
-
Can contrast between textures help viewers better understand the meaning behind a photo?
Reflection:
- The idea of this photoshoot was to emphasize the look of loneliness/emptiness through the use of repetition of photos. In the end, I framed the final photo to incorporate synthesis in order to further strengthen the message of my photo.
- canon camera, lightroom, photoshop
- As this photo shoot progressed, there were many issues with lighting and coloring, making it difficult for viewers to understand the whole concept of this photo. To fix this, I focused on colors and brightness within lightroom and photoshop to make my photo more clear and more visible to others. This really helped with the visualization in general and with strengthening the message of repetition and isolation.
